These meatballs are unbelievably too easy to make. They are impossibly facile, fast and simple. I had a hard time contemplating if to dedicate a post writing such an easy recipe, but then I thought of the baked plantain goodness I put up some time ago. That was too simple to qualify for a blog post! As easy as this may be, I believe there maybe just one person who hasn’t discovered the ease in making meatballs from scratch. Cheap manual Meat blenders could give you the chance to buy cheaper pork steaks/chops and make the meat paste de Novo . 

That one person out there could be one of my siblings because meatballs weren’t something we grew up with in Cameroon. Still, don’t understand why, but as a mom, this seems to be the best way my lil’man enjoys meat protein. As such it has become a must have in my freezer, yes I make and freeze for days when I can just pull out and drop in my tomato sauce or in other soups.

These meatballs do not have any egg, flour or breadcrumbs; simply seasoned meat rolled into balls.


So this is what you need:

Ingredients for meatballs

  • 300 grams ground pork
  • 12 grated garlic gloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 seasoning cubes


Meatball-making Process:

Put the ground pork in a large bowl

Throw in all the seasoning; thyme, white pepper, garlic, seasoning cubes and bell pepper.

Give it a generous mix till you are certain all the ingredients are nicely incorporated


Scoop out into desirable ball sizes

Give it a childlike massage into a ball. I( my lil’man kept asking me “mama what are doing?”) He must have thought it to be some kids play dough!

Place the meatballs on a baking pan ( I drizzled some butter but that is absolutely not necessary, pork has a lot of fats)


Preheat oven to 225degrees

Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 mins

Remove and allow to cool

Then enjoy with some veggies. Remember to save some for tomato sauce ahead.
